Love is Blind Japan
Anyone else watching? With subtitles, & so many participants, it was difficult to follow while still in the pods. But, having finished the first 6 episodes, I’m glad I kept watching. It’s easier to follow the post-pod group of 8 (!) engaged couples, a number pretty quickly reduced by two. Other than hand-holding by one of the couples, there has, so far, been a very noticeable lack of intimacy, especially in contrast to the US & Brazil versions. No shortage of bowing, though.

Is Netflix fast becoming the new Bravo? They are so full of shitty docus and reality shows nowadays.

It’s interesting that there’s a 26-year (56 to 30) age gap between one of the (remaining) couples. The (older) man does look much younger than his chronological age. I don’t recall the viewer seeing any discussion of the age gap until after the couple is engaged and meets.

To be fair, Netflix does reality tv well.

And it is interesting to get a glimpse into the dating world of other cultures.

Only one good-looking man, IMHO.

If the couples don’t commit to marriage at the end when they’re at the altar, do the men commit harakiri?

Are the characters interesting? It's hard to imagine drama from the Japanese who are always so proper.

^Yes, they're interesting, but they don't bring the drama of their US counterparts.
