Houston Texans drafted Deshaun in 2017, the 1st round of the NFL Draft. On 12th May 2017, the Texans signed him to a four-year contract with $13.84 million with a signing bonus of $8.21 million. On 10th September 2017, he made his 1st regular-season appearance against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
