Adam Copeland Wants To Tell Better Stories Instead Of Recreating A TLC Match
Another iconic triple threat TLC match? Adam Copeland doesn’t think so.
The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, and Edge and Christian etched their names in the history books for their Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches in 2000 and 2001 for the WWE World Tag Team Championship.
While all six participants are now no longer under WWE contract, one participant in Adam Copeland recently told Alex Nino Ghecciu of the Lethbridge Herald that he doesn’t see the need to recreate it now.
“People say (they want to see it), but no, actually stop and think about it for a second. We were in our early 20s when we did those matches. We’re in our 50s now,” Copeland said. “Leave it in a very good place in memory, and let us do what we do now, which is tell better stories.”
Copeland is currently involved in a feud with Christian Cage over the AEW TNT Championship, while Matt and Jeff Hardy are also signed to AEW.
